In this special anniversary concert, Ori Shalva (Shalva Makharashvili, Andrea Kuzmich, and their son Shalva-Lucas) brings to life the powerful, centuries-old tradition of Georgian polyphony, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural treasure.

In this workshop, we’ll teach a variety of songs, ranging from lively toasting and horse-riding songs to meditative chants. Don’t worry, you don’t need to know Georgian or even need to read music to join this workshop. We’ll provide lyrics and teach all the songs by ear. For more info on our workshop check out this page.
