MusiCamp is a Toronto studio that offers ethnomusicologically inspired workshops, events, performances and camps for children and adults.

Workshops

Our most celebrated workshop has exposed enthusiast and professional singers/composers/musicians to the haunting visceral harmonies of Georgian polyphony, a UNESCO proclaimed intangible heritage of humanity. But we also offer a variety of other workshops, such as Ukrainain Folk Singing and body percussion. Music, Events, Artists, and Projects

Some of the events we have hosted or in which we participated include Eggplant Stew, the Dundas West Festival, and the family interactive cultural music events at Union Station. A variety of groups associated with Andrea Kuzmich, MusiCamp’s creative force, include her family ensemble ORI SHALVA & co, her jazz fusion eclectic world music duo ANDREA AND JAASH, and other musical configurations and projects with performances for Night of Dread (Clay and Paper Theatre), the Body Percussion Festival, Young Voices of Toronto (formerly High Park Children’s Choir), and BLOKMUSIC.ca. But our biggest project to date is our collaboration with Pro Coro Canada, The Winnipeg Singers, Clay and Paper Theatre, Folk Camp Canada, and a few exceptional cultural ambassadors in Quebec to bring the award winning Georgian folk choir Didgori to Canada in the spring of 2019!

Summer Camps are no more but…

Covid and social distancing has negatively impacted our ability to run summer day camps for kids. While we dream of one day again providing these camps – that build on your child’s intuition, and challenge and channel their creativity – we will not be offering them in the near future. However, we still offer a variety of music workshops for kids at festivals, schools, and private events.
